[Conference] - 2016 Republic of China Transportation Annual Conference and Academic Paper Symposium

The 2016 Republic of China Transportation Annual Conference and Academic Paper Symposium will be held at National Dong Hwa University on December 8–9, 2016. Highly efficient transportation functions are essential infrastructure for national economic development and industrial competitiveness. However, the ability to provide transportation services that meet diverse needs at the right time, place, and scale is an indicator of a thriving nation. This year's conference focuses particularly on transportation issues in "non-six-municipality" areas, addressing the characteristic challenges of these non-urban regions: low accessibility, low usage density, and low resource allocation, alongside high peak-to-off-peak variation, high demand uncertainty, and high requirements for localization — so that Taiwan's rural areas with beautiful landscapes will not be inconvenient or troublesome, but instead convenient, comfortable, safe, and reliable.
